The Ocean Lakes High School Bands will work the Dug Out Dawg booth for one week of each month during baseball season, April through September. We are happy to have parents, students, friends, and anyone else who is willing to join the fun. Every contribution matters!
Tides games are a fantastic way for students to gain work experience, contribute to their program, and accumulate volunteer hours. In order to recognize student contributions we are certifying organization for the Presidential Volunteer Service Award. In addition to support the band program students may receive recognition that is helpful for college and scholarship applications. Most students truly enjoy the experience, especially when they work with friends!
If you are new to the program or working Tides games and you are anxious about stepping into something you’ve never done before, please reach out to any of the Executive Board or ask student leadership.
Did you know? All tips and a portion of sales raised through Tides concessions go directly to our band programs! Top-notch band music, quality choreography, reasonable band fees, and modern uniforms are just a few of the ways these funds are spent.
Tides transportation and parking is a little tricky this year due to ongoing construction. You will need to catch the Tide Lightrail at Newtown Road or near MacArthur Mall.
Students should only leave the stadium in a group of 3 or more or with and adult. When dropping off a student please do so by the 3rd base players' entrance. Carpool options are available just ask in the Band app!
Parking for Tides: The only authorized parking for employees and volunteers is the MacArthur South Parking Garage.
All volunteers should enter through the 3rd base players' entrance.
Enter at the 3rd Base Entrance
Exit the MacArthut Parking Garage onto City Hall Ave. The Tide stop is across the street on the right.
The band is also lucky to raise funds through the the OLHS outdoor concession stand for varsity and JV football, varsity field hockey and varsity soccer. This is for the fall and spring sports season and volunteering is open to family and friends.
100% of all sales from the OLHS outdoor concession stand goes directly to the band programs!
